What You’ll Actually Be Doing(aka no surprises later)

  • Be the on-site BCBA for Jacksonville, with a real team behind you (more on that below)
  • Run functional behavior assessments, intake assessments and evaluations, then build intervention plans around what each client actually needs
  • Design and oversee evidence-based ABA treatment plans
  • Track and analyze data, and adjust programming as progress comes in
  • Provide some direct therapy alongside your supervision work
  • Partner with families, caregivers, teachers and other providers so goals carry over across settings
  • Keep documentation, assessments and progress notes accurate and HIPAA-compliant
  • Join multidisciplinary team meetings. The team also offers speech, OT, PT and counseling.
  • Make the clinical calls for your own clients, with room to take on more as the practice grows

Caseload & Support Transparency(because details matter)

  • Caseload size — Low right now, on purpose. The practice is holding off on new cases until the right support is in place, so you won't walk into an overloaded caseload. Typical caseload: 8–12 clients.
  • Billable hour expectations — The target is 25 billable hours a week, with flexibility depending on the situation. No 30-billable-hour requirement waiting for you on day one, and you'll have time to settle in.
  • Support structure — You won't be on an island. You'll be the only BCBA based in Jacksonville, but the BCBAs at the company's Savannah office back you up remotely (calls, chats, video) and in person. On site, you'll work with two full-time senior lead RBTs who have each been with the company for 7–8 years. You can also visit the Savannah team, and they visit Jacksonville.
